This statistic compares the number of male and female school children who were killed or seriously injured in road accidents when going to or from school in Great Britain in 2015, by age. Throughout the distribution, boys were more likely to be killed or seriously injured in a road accident than girls. 11 year-old boys had the highest number of serious or fatal casualties in road accidents while going to and from school, while four year old boys had the lowest number of serious or fatal casualties. On the other hand, girls of age 14 were most likely to be killed or seriously injured on the way to and from school, while five year old girls were the least likely to experience such.
