Importance of ethical standards in retail in the United Kingdom (UK) 2014, by age
This statistic illustrates the importance of ethical standards in retail to consumers in the United Kingdom, by age. The question posed in a survey conducted for the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills in June 2014, asked respondents to what extent are the ethical standards of retail companies and the products they sell important to them. Across the age groups, there was no significant difference in the results. The 75 and over group nevertheless had the highest share of respondents stating that ethical standards are important (55 percent), although 44 percent believe standards only matter a little or not at all.
