This 2013 survey shows the public opinion on the use of animals in research in the United Kingdom. The use of laboratory animals and the like was perceived as more of a risk than something beneficial by almost a third of the respondents, whereas nearly half of the surveyed said that the benefits outweighed the risks of this field of study.
