The statistic shows the distribution of employment in the financial and professional service industries in the United Kingdom in 2015 and 2016. In 20125 London employed approximately 751 thousand people in financial and professional service industry, making it by far UK's largest employer in these sectors. In 2016, the overall number of people employed in London in financial and professional services industry increased to approximately 792 thousand. A decrease in numbers of people employed could be observed in Wales, South West, South East, North East and Yorkshire & The Humber between 2015 and 2016.
