Industrial electricity prices worldwide 2016-2022, by select country
In 2022, industries in the European countries of Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom paid some of the highest electricity prices in the world. Industrial activities in Italy saw prices increased from 14.5 pence per kilowatt-hour in 2019 to over 25.5 pence per kilowatt-hour in 2022. By comparison, United States-based businesses had an average electricity bill of seven pence per kilowatt-hour that year.
