In 2022, Mexico was the leading exporter of avocados in Latin America, with an export value that amounted to 3.5 billion U.S. dollars. Peru ranked second with 894 million U.S. dollars. The total value of avocado exports from Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to almost 4.9 billion U.S. dollars.
In 2023, the leading countries of destination for avocado exports from Latin America and the Caribbean were the United States, Canada, and Germany.
