Buy-to-let landlords' response to rising mortgage rates in the UK 2023

One in three buy-to-let landlords in the UK renegotiated their deal with the same company, according to a survey conducted in the second quarter of 2023. Additionally, about 28 percent were forced to hike rents since July 2022 because of the terms of the mortgage deal. Furthermore, approximately 14 percent used non-rental income to cover part of the monthly repayment and avoid the rent of the property from rising.
