Public opinion on a six-country FIFA World Cup 2024, by country
In 2023, FIFA announced that the 2030 World Cup would be held in six different countries, with Spain, Morocco, and Portugal being the main hosts of the event and Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina hosting some of the tournament's opening matches. A survey conducted in 16 countries looked at public support for the move, with respondents from Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, and India being the most supportive of FIFA's decision. In these three countries, more than half of survey participants expressed some degree of support for the move, whereas in Germany, 48 percent of respondents expressed some degree of disapproval.
