SDG index of Chennai India 2021
As of 2021, the south Indian city of Chennai scored 69.36 on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Index. The city fared extremely well on indicators such as affordable and clean energy, gender equality, and responsible consumption and production. Compared to other indicators, the city scored low on indicators such as decent work and economic growth. The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) index has played a vital role in driving the SDG agenda in India. The index provides a holistic view of the social, economic, and environmental status of the country and its regions.
