In 2022, blockchain gaming companies accounted for 88 percent of equity funding deals involving gaming startups in Southeast Asia, up from a share of 25 percent in 2019. As of October 2022, Vietnam-based company Sky Mavis was the most-funded gaming startup in Southeast Asia, with total funding exceeding 300 million U.S. dollars.
