Among Mexicans who usually celebrate the Day of the Dead, the vast majority (93 percent) planned to light candles during this holiday, as showed a survey carried out in October 2023. Main activities performed during this holiday also included eating "bread of the dead" (

Pan de Muerto

) and visiting the pantheon. Moreover, nearly half of respondents also planned to place an offering to celebrate this traditional holiday in 2023.
