Broadband speed changes during COVID-19 in Africa 2020, by country
With an increasing number of people accessing the internet during the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown periods in 2020, broadband speed has often been affected. That year, the internet speed in Madagascar fell 38 percent compared to the previous year, the sharpest drop registered in the continent. In Côte d'Ivoire and Libya, the speed of internet connections dropped by 31 percent and 27 percent, respectively.
