In 2020, the import of mineral fuels and oils into South Africa amounted to an approximate value of 9.62 billion U.S. dollars. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year when roughly 14.84 billion U.S. dollars of the products were imported. Furthermore, Nigeria was one of the main trade partners of South Africa concerning mineral fuel and oil imports with a share of 22 percent.
