In 2020, businesses needed an average of 482 days to obtain an electrical connection in Liberia. This was the longest period registered in Africa. Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau followed with 450 and 257 days, respectively. On the other hand, getting electricity was a faster process in other African countries. In Rwanda, 30 days were required to secure an electrical connection. The number of days needed to obtain this service is a common indicator used to determine a country's business environment.
