Employment in agriculture in West African countries 2020
Niger was the country in West Africa in which agriculture had the highest contribution to employment as of 2020. The sector accounted for 74.8 percent of the total employment in the country. Guinea-Bissau ranked in second place, with agriculture corresponding to 67.8 percent of the total employment. On the other hand, agriculture had the least participation in employment in Cabo Verde, at 11.1 percent.
