As the use of mobile devices is increasing in France in 2019, mobile applications are on the rise. Thus, the source wanted to assess the rise in time spent on applications, according to their category: the app with the category "personalization" had the strongest increase, with 56 percent more time spent on the app, compared to the year before. The second most performing category was books and references as well as entertainment, with an increase of 46 percent for each.
