Hotel guests' economic contribution in Mexico City 2010-2023
Throughout the 2010s, the economic contribution of hotel guests in Mexico City showed an overall upward trend, growing from 3.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2010 to nearly 5.9 billion dollars in 2019. Even though the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic caused the industry's economic contribution in the Mexican capital to drop in 2020, it recovered in the following years reaching almost pre-pandemic levels in 2022 with over 5.5 million U.S. dollars.
