Leading natural disasters of concern among companies Japan 2020
According to a survey conducted on natural disasters in Japan in October 2020, around 55 percent of the companies stated that earthquakes were the natural disaster of their biggest concern. Flood damage followed, with about 19.5 percent. Since Japan is situated in an area where several tectonic plates meet, it is vulnerable to natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions.
