CO2 emissions from the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector in Japan 2013-2022
In 2022, the carbon dioxide emissions from the agricultural, forestry, fishery sector in Japan amounted to approximately 12.8 million tons of CO2, the second-lowest number. In that year, the largest source of emissions from the agricultural sector was rice cultivation, followed by enteric fermentation. In the previous year 2020, the ten-year low-point of less than 14.2 million tons was reached.
