Mobile ownership rate in Africa, by country 2018
As of 2018, Tunisia had the largest rate of mobile ownership in Africa, at around 75 percent. Also in North Africa, Lybia and Morocco followed with 73 percent and 72 percent, respectively. In Sub-Saharan Africa, the higher ownership rates were registered in Mauritius (72 percent), Cabo Verde (67 percent), and South Africa (67 percent).
