Latin America: travel and tourism direct contribution to employment 2019, by country
In 2019, Mexico and Brazil registered the largest numbers of direct jobs in the travel and tourism sector in Latin America. That year, Mexico reported over 3.52 million direct jobs in the sector, while Brazil counted more than two million jobs. Colombia and Argentina ranked third and fourth on the list that year, with 483.6 and 464.8 thousand jobs directly related to travel and tourism, respectively.
