The main cause of global warming perceived in Romania in 2019 was considered to be the increasing number of vehicles together with car traffic, with a share of respondents of 31 percent. The second most common answers were people's choices and improper disposal of waste. Among the indicators given, those least likely to be chosen as a main cause of global warming were pollution, the Government, lack of education, overpopulation, destruction of the environment and other causes.
