Compulsive phobia cases in Spain 2011-2021
In 2021, the number of compulsive disorder cases registered in Spain reached more than 314 thousand, up from around 253.6 thousand cases recorded a year prior. Figures showed an increasing number of compulsive phobia cases reported in the European country since 2011, when Spanish primary health care services provided attention to about 33.1 thousand patients. The disorder, also known as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), is a mental condition characterized by recurring thoughts and behaviors that follow a repetition pattern among patients.
