Share of people following a vegetarian diet in Europe 2018, by age group
According to a 2018 survey, five percent of Europeans were vegetarians. Not eating meat was especially popular among the younger generation: of the 25 to 34 years old, seven percent said to be vegetarian. Among the 18 to 24 years old, this was even higher, at eight percent.
