Organic rye farmland in Belgium 2012-2016
Following an initial decline, the area of organic rye farmland in Belgium increased annually between 2014 and 2016. As of 2016, there were approximately 285 hectares of farmland in use for the cultivation of organic rye. This was an increase of around 60 hectares compared to the previous year, and the highest area of organic rye farmland seen in the Netherlands within the time-frame considered.
