The displayed data on the share of vegans shows results of the Statista Global Consumer Survey conducted in a variety of European countries in 2023. Approximately four percent of respondents in the United Kingdom answered the question "Do you follow one or more of the following nutrition rules?" with "Vegan (not eating any animal products)".

The original survey question was: "Do you follow one or more of the following nutrition rules?" This statistic shows the share of all who answered "Vegan (not eating any animal products)".
*Depending on the country, the the data shows results from a survey that was carried out in the first quarter of 2023 or aggregates four survey waves for 2022 and 2023. For the folowing countries the data was aggregated: Austria, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. Respondent numbers are generally over 2,000 respondents.
