Main online fraud issues during checkout according to e-merchants in the U.S. 2022
According to a 2022 survey, e-commerce merchants in the United States faced numerous challenges with online fraud during purchase transactions. Address verification emerged as the primary issue, with 35 percent of respondents ranking it as one of the top three challenges their company faces. Following closely behind were fraud risk assessment and balancing fraud prevention with the customer experience, each listed by 30 percent of surveyed e-merchants as one of the main challenges in serving customers online.
