Social networks were the most common platform for the spread of cyber attacks in Russia during the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown in spring 2020. Almost 70 percent of respondents stated that they encountered cyber attacks on social media. Furthermore, one quarter of Russians noticed cyber threats in messenger apps.
